Here’s how it works (and why it’s a little different from the marketplaces you might be used to):
1. List your piece like a pro
Give your furniture its best chance at a new life. Grab your phone, snap a few well-lit photos, note any quirks and dimensions, and set a fair price. A clean piece with an honest description sells fastest. Not sure what to charge? Look at similar pre-loved pieces on Déjà Décor for inspiration, then trust your gut.
2. Pick your pickup windows
Choose a few days and times when our crew can collect your item. Buyers will choose from these windows at checkout. The more flexible your schedule, the faster your item may move. No strangers. No awkward meetups. We handle the coordination.
3. Prepare for pickup
Give your piece a quick dust-off and make sure there is a clear path for our movers. If you live in a building with delivery rules, such as a service elevator, loading dock, or call box, let us know. We do the heavy lifting. You just need to open the door.
4. We pick up and inspect
Once your piece arrives at its new home and delivery is successfully completed, we release your payment. No chasing anyone for cash. No awkward messages. You did your part — now enjoy the reward, and the extra space at home.
5. Get paid after delivery is confirmed

If you are registered for GST/HST and selling eligible pre-loved furniture as a business, we will ask for your GST/HST number during seller onboarding.
Déjà Décor collects and handles tax at checkout so buyers pay once and everything stays clear and transparent.
You may also be asked to complete a standard Canada Revenue Agency form so payouts and reporting work smoothly on both sides.
