No meetups. No chasing. No awkward “did you send it?” messages.
Payouts are processed weekly for completed deliveries.
A payout can take longer if we are missing key details (like pickup access notes) or if an order needs extra confirmation to stay fair and safe for everyone.
Listings are free.
When your item sells, Déjà Décor charges a 10% marketplace commission on the item selling price (delivery and tax are excluded).
That fee funds the rescue operation: running the platform, protecting payments, and coordinating delivery — so second-hand feels as easy as buying new.
If you are not registered for GST/HST:
You do not add GST/HST to your listing. Your payout is based on your selling price, minus the marketplace commission.

If you are registered for GST/HST:
We will ask for your GST/HST number and any required paperwork so taxes are handled correctly through the platform.

If you are unsure about your status, a Canadian accountant can confirm what applies to you.
(Only for GST/HST-registered sellers)
If you’re registered for GST/HST, we’ll ask for your GST/HST number during seller onboarding.
Déjà Décor collects and handles tax at checkout, so buyers pay once and everything stays clean and transparent.
You may be asked to complete a standard CRA form so payouts and reporting work smoothly on both sides.
If you’re not registered for GST/HST, you can ignore this — nothing extra is required.
We built Déjà Décor to keep great furniture out of landfill — without turning selling into a part-time job.
