What kind of furniture can I sell on Déjà Décor?

You can sell quality pre-loved furniture that has already been owned or used. This includes eligible furniture that is previously owned, repaired, restored, refurbished, rescued, staged, rented, or otherwise already in use.

Is it free to list my furniture?

Yes. Listing on Déjà Décor is free.

A 10% secure transaction fee is charged only when your item sells. This fee supports payment processing, platform operations, trust and escrow handling, customer support, and the work required to keep the platform safe and reliable.

Can I sell brand-new furniture on Déjà Décor?

No. Déjà Décor is for pre-loved furniture only. We do not accept brand-new furniture, new inventory, unopened stock, or furniture being sold as new.

How do I sell my furniture on Déjà Décor?

Submit your item through our Sell page with clear photos, accurate dimensions, and an honest description.

If accepted, your pre-loved furniture is listed on the platform and Déjà Décor manages the transaction once it sells.

Can I sell furniture as a business?

Yes, if the furniture is quality pre-owned furniture with another life left in it.

We are interested in hearing from offices, boutiques, cafés, showrooms, studios, short-term rental operators, and other businesses that refresh, rotate, or clear furniture.

If you are registered for GST/HST, you need to provide your GST/HST number and complete the GST506 process, and we'll take care of the taxes for you!

Can I sell repaired or refurbished furniture?

Of course! We love repaired, restored, and refurbished furniture. Déjà Décor exists to keep great pieces out of landfill and in circulation, so furniture that has already been cared for, repaired, or given a second life absolutely belongs here as long as it is honestly described and any relevant repairs, flaws, or signs of wear are clearly disclosed.

How should I price my item?

Think quality resale, not yard sale.

Browse similar items for guidance, or start slightly higher and adjust if needed. Buyers respond best to fair, realistic pricing that reflects craftsmanship, condition, and original quality.

What happens when my item sells?

Once the buyer completes payment, Déjà Décor holds the funds securely while delivery is coordinated.

After delivery is completed and the hand-off is confirmed, payment is released to the seller.

When do I get paid?

Payment is released after delivery is completed and confirmed.

Exact timing may vary slightly depending on logistics and payment processing, but sellers are always kept informed.

What if my availability changes after listing?

Sellers have access to their account and can update their pickup availability at any time.

We encourage sellers to update their availability as soon as they know of a change. This helps ensure delivery planning stays smooth and avoids unnecessary delays for everyone involved.
