This mirror has been hand-refinished in approximately 8 hours.
The wire was re-drilled and is now level. There are no other flaws, chips or scratches on the glass.
As seen in the before picture, the bow and ribbon has been removed and sanded smooth.
The decoration on the frame was covered and it now features a dramatic black finish, hand-applied metallic gold accents, a crackle finish for aged character, WoodUbend trim, restored and smoothed details where needed, and multiple protective coats of high-quality satin finish.

The mirror plate has been artfully and deliberately distressed, creating a weathered, antiqued patina that looks as though it was pulled straight from an alternate Victorian timeline. This heavy texture beautifully overlays the artwork, making the figures appear like a fading memory or a ghostly reflection.
Framing this hauntingly beautiful scene is an oval frame painted in a deep black, accented by an intricate gold crackle finish that catches the light.
